South Molton Struggler News

Wednesday 22nd December – running as usual – 7pm from the Pannier Market. Monday 27th December (morning?) – Phil Rycroft intends to lead an off-road run from Simonsbath. Watch for more details. Wednesday 29th December – no club run – we'll take a day off. Wednesday 5th January – return as normal at 7pm from the Pannier Market.

November 2021 As the nights get darker (and wetter and colder) its good to see our numbers on a Wednesday evening increasing again. I am sorry we are not offering the warmth of the Old Assembly Rooms but we are trying to keep fresh air and social distance as much as possible. Well done to all our Strugglers Ladies and Gents who helped us undertake our first season in the Westward League, which I'd guess you'd describe as the 'Premier' League of its type in the South-West, regardless of terrain type. It's been a bit of a learning curve but I think I can say unequivocally that everybody enjoyed it (although none of the men enjoyed the start-line pelting we got from the weather yesterday...). We even managed to get teams out of 'the Shire' to the Newquay ...

Saturday 14th December - 7:00 for 7:30 start. The Christmas Party will be at the George Hotel South Molton - cost £17.50 per person. Similar format to last year: nibbles followed by two food bowls each, then chocolate brownies and cheese & biscuits; or veggie and vegan alternatives. We'll all be meeting at the South Street Kitchen instead of the Pip Centre this week.  We'll be running Streetlights backwards and celebrating with Mulled Wine and Mince Pies.

Christmas Streetlights - 20th December 2017 It will start and finish at south Street kitchen, kindly provided by Simon Joyce! Please meet there at your usual time. 15th November 2017 is the date of this years club AGM.  All members are encouraged to come along, it'll take place after running in the Pip Centre.  There will probably be roles up for grabs so if you're interested in doing something speak to Caroline beforehand or surprise us on the night.
