Minehead Stagger and Stumble
The new club hoodies took their first outing on Sunday 23rd October with all club members taking part in the Minehead Stagger and Stumble. Another fantastic day provided ideal running conditions for all the strugglers taking part in these challenging races.
The stagger saw 6 members venture over this tough terrain, taking in dunkery beacon at the highest point. Dave Cutler continued his fine form and finished in 9th place in a time of 2.12.02. In form Derek Page, was the second struggler home in a great time of 2.38. Training partners Phil and Nik were hoping for a closely fought race but Phil managed a seven minute edge on Nik in times of 2.47.37 and 2.54.13 respectively. Our endurance specialist Clare came in at 3.10.04 and birthday boy Jim in 3.16.22. Im sure he was saving his legs for the Exmoor Beast on sunday!
The shorter stumble but still a very challenging 6 miles gave Chris a great run in a time of 58.19 and 14th overall. John Carter was close behind in 1.01.47 and the female contingent of Emma and Sue came in at 1.20.42 and 1.24.25 respectively.
Well done to all those that ran!
